7050 Aluminium Plate

For heavy plate applications.

7050 aluminium plate is a popular product for heavy plate applications and promotes high strength.

With improved toughness and corrosion characteristics compared to 7075, 7050 aluminium plate is particularly suited to aerospace applications. The alloy attractively combines high strength with toughness and stress corrosion cracking resistance. As the plate product offers lower quench sensitivity and strength retention in thicker sections (3" to 6" inch thickness), 7050 provides particular suitability to heavy plate applications. 7050 also offers good workability and anodising properties with good fracture toughness.

Stock Availability

We have stock availability of 7050 aluminium plates in a wide range of sizes and tempers (including T4511 and T651).

Metallurgical Support

Our UKAS Accredited Testing Laboratory is unique to the UK stockholding sector, and we provide a comprehensive range of testing services and metallurgical support.

Processing

Our in-house processing services ensure we cut your plates to tight tolerances using vertical and CNC plate saws. We stock aluminium plate products in closer incremental sizes, and in many cases, further machining may not be necessary.
