A286 nickel-chromium stainless steel sheet offers high strength and good corrosion resistance.


A286 is a nickel-chromium austenitic stainless steel sheet product that is iron-based and precipitation-hardened. The alloy should be considered for applications where a combination of high corrosion resistance and strength is required. The alloy's general corrosion and oxidation resistance are good, and A286 provides superior hardness compared to other nickel-based stainless steels. The material finds typical use in lower stress applications at high temperatures as the alloy retains its strength at elevated temperatures. The formability and machinability of the product are also good.


Engineering Applications
