We offer 2219 aluminium forgings in various sizes and tempers.

2219 is an age hardenable heat treatable aluminium alloy which we stock and supply as forgings.

The alloy finds typical use in high-temperature applications, particularly in aerospace. Susbequent heat treatment results in an alloy with high strength but reduced ductility. Attractive characteristics include high-stress corrosion resistance and fracture toughness. Alloy 2219 is more difficult to weld when compared to other aluminium grades and has lower general corrosion resistance though cladding may resolve this.

We offer 2219 aluminium forgings in various sizes and tempers (including F, O-annealed, O1, T6 and T852).
